I didn't know that Mustaine had fucked with the vocals on Rust In Peace though. The only re-issued 'deth albums i have are Countdown To Extinction and Youthanasia. Though i noticed he'd created a new intro to one of the songs on Countdown... really unnecessary to remix rust in peace. there's only one song i think sounds better and that's Poison was the Cure since they cleaned up the guitar at the end. However I prefer the remixed versions of the first 3 megadeth albums.

So I was driving last night in the rain and flicking around on the radio before stumbling upon a heavy metal show and managed to listen to a few songs before reaching my destination.
I heard a track off the upcoming Testament album and damn near shat my pants as I drove. Granted I only had a few minutes to take it all in, but when the host back-annouced the artists and songs, I couldn't quite believe that Testament had taken things up another notch. I was a massive fan of their last effort, "The Gathering", and pretty much think they became a lot better when Chuck Billy started using harsher and more extreme vocals on "Low" and "Demonic".
I'm really looking forward to this new album, "The Formation of Damnation" now.

never been a big testament fan, but you shouldn t judge an album on one song. i remember i made that mistake with kreators enemy of god album. the title track owned and the rest sounded like some metal from sweden asdlfjkasdf. sad to see thrash in the state its in today.

I know not to get too ahead of myself. I've never been a massive Testament fan, either. As an out and out thrash band (i.e. before they started adopting more extreme elements to their music), they were always average at best, I thought.
I'm just interested in hearing it and seeing what they'll produce with Paul Bostaph now on drums and Alex Skolnick back in the band.
I didn't mind Kreator's "Enemy of God" album to be honest, though as far as German thrash goes, I think Sodom's latest efforts are far superior.

I'm recently really into Japanese metal. Everyone who listened to Japanese metal will say: "Loudness!" But I say "Nay!". One of my favorite bands isn't Loudness, it's Anthem. While Loudness changed their sound trough the years, and I don't know, I think they changed for the worse. I really dislike their new albums. Anthem on the other hand became better. Their singer Eizo Sakamoto is really something, one of my favorite singers. Have a listen to this tracks: IMMORTAL BINDTHE VOICESGYPSY WAYSAnd I also really like EZO. Their appearance is... well, not so good. But the sound is awesome. Listen to: FLASHBACK HEART ATTACK or MILLION MILES AWAY. Before they came to USA and became EZO, they were known i Japan as Flatbacker, they also had a different sound. The song: HARD BLOWLet me know what you think of it.

Well, on Sunday my band and I had our first rehersals, it was a bit different as it was the first time I had met the drummer...and seeing as Im the bassist, it could have all gone to shit...but it went really well....until Karls (guitar) amp decided to not work.... Managed to get through two songs all the way through, a bit messy, but way better than we all expected. Hopefully should have some pics up on the myspazz/website tonight www.fallenthroughflames.com www.myspace.com/fallenthroughflamesCheers guys

Nice one Pab.
Just listened to Heresy "Face Up To It". Good 80s hardcore punk but not a patch on E.N.T. In fact, didn't Sore Throat do a tune called Face Up to It that lasted one second and just said " You're SHIT"? Maybe a reference.
