We'll see how he likes being a gayer (if that's possible) Jeff Hardy when i hit him about the skull with a steel chair and drop the big leg.

All of these wrestling moves on Jeff Hardy's clone must be videotaped. I'd say to blindside him when he's making his entrance aka gay dancing because he won't expect it.

Ive been on the hunt for Witchfinder General's uber-rare albums Death Penalty and Friends of Hell for years to replace my shitty old cassette copies. today the search was at an end. real old school doom from 1980-1981. these guys never quite made it but are absolutely brilliant. they got taken to court by the church for their first album cover (apparently the reverend didnt take too kindly to them mock sacrificing topless models in the graveyard without permission). undeterred they went back to the same church with more glamour models and swords to shoot the cover of their second album. they then split up and vanished in the blink of an eye.

oh yes. but its very raw. i'll upload it for you when it arrives.
i love finding random bands from the 80's that never got anywhere. NWOBHM is particularly rife with bands like that.

Seems like it's been a while since this thread was last posted in, so I'll make an attempt of sorts at reviving it.
I just purchased my Mayhem ticket this morning. They've always been a bit of a hit and miss band for me, but I've been quite a fan of their last two efforts ("Chimera" and "Ordo Ad Chao"), so I'm keen to see what they're like, especially now that Attila is back on vocals.
I've seen them twice. The first time was here in Australia back in 2002 on their "Grand Declaration of War" tour and their performance was extremely disappointing. I saw them again in 2004 at Wacken in Germany in what I think was Maniac's final performance with the band and I thought they were red hot even though they were playing at 2pm.
Looking forward to seeing what the orignal purveyors of Norwegian black metal can produce this time round!

I just purchased my Mayhem ticket this morning. Pretty solid metal band, and gruesome as well. One of my favorite things they did is do an interview completely piss drunk for a documentary.

How could I forget Necrobutcher's finest moment in "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey"?! I was at the very same festival (Wacken 2004) where that interview was filmed. Good times. I was at the premiere of that documentary when it was screened at the Sydney Film Festival back in 2006 and break out into hysterics when I saw the interview and recognised where it was filmed. Watch the interview here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0HX8d3SKzA

I love that interview. There's more of it on the bonus Black Metal documentary where he says (among other things) "so they fucked thereself in the ass by doing that".
I've seen their European Legions DVD and Necrobutcher is hammered for his interview on that disc, as well. He also cuts some girls arm with a pocketknife, which is very under-dramatic.
The only seemingly level-headed person in that band is Hellhammer.

I haven't really seen or read any interviews with Hellhammer, but it'd be safe to say that he'd be pretty level-headed given the fact that he managed to keep Mayhem together despite all the shit that happened in the band during the early 90s. That, along with the plethora of side-projects that he's involved in.
Necrobutcher just seems like a bit of a twit to me. When I saw Mayhem in 2002, he just seemed pre-occupied with staring at girls in the crowd rather than concentrating on playing his material.
Blasphemer has apparently had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. I remember reading in an interview conducted with him a few years back that his personal problems forced him to leave Norway and relocate to Portugal so he could clean up his act. No idea if he's still living there, though.
Dead - spoke for himself by living up to his name.
Varg Vikernes - intelligent but twisted.
Maniac - has stage fright.
Taking all of the above into account, I'd say Hellhammer wins hands down as far as mental stability goes.

My favourite bit of Metal: A Headbanger's Journey is the twat who sits in the shade in some sort of wine cellar holding a bulb glass of Bordeaux and who responds to an articulate, well-thought question with a long pause and then "...Satan" youtube.com/watch?v=puwllq0fBLs^ Yeah, that guy.
